The Counter-Service is a secondary weapon for Marksman that can be purchased for
30 Intel in the Intel Store and could have previously been obtained on Tier 10 in the UNVAULTED season of the Season Pass.
It is a reskin of the MAC-10 that takes on the appearance of a tactical submachine gun with an exposed barrel and retractable stock.
This weapon has 2 styles; Style 1 and Style 2. Style 1 is the default style.
- Style 1 has the stock retracted, with Marksman throwing the old magazine when reloading.
- Style 2 has the stock deployed, with Marksman storing the old magazine when reloading.

Tips

- The MAC-10 has a similar, but faster bullet spread, devastatingly higher damage falloff at a much closer range and with a violent crosshair bloom, it's your best bet to not even bother engaging targets even within the maximum effective range of your weapon or to go on the offensive with the weapon without the use of the other offensive weapon, such as the Huntsman.
- To maximize offensive power without an offensive sniper rifle, you are much better off going for combo shots, switching to your sniper rifle, taking a shot while unscoped and quickly switching to either your melee weapon or your MAC-10 to finish off your foe. Remember that the sniper rifle must be manually reloaded after every shot to deter shotstacking, so you would be much better off making the most of your melees and the MAC-10, or attempt to quickscope the enemy, dealing a twice-as-devastating 135 damage, either making your work even easier, or conserving ammunition by downright killing them instantly.
- The Poacher's Pride turns the MAC-10 into a chipping finisher. If the 120 damage slugs do not not finish your foes off, a mid-range peppering of your secondary will kill any unhealed light class and can be useful otherwise if ammo for your primary is nowhere to be found.
- The Sour Shots gives you an extra support role to your team, with the added benefit of the MAC-10 gaining a much needed quality: offensive capability. The mini-crits provided by a charged shot with this weapon have much more forgiving damage at range, and turns into a meat grinder in close quarters combat, most useful when playing on the attacking side in a Payload or control point map, or a quick push combined with a stable after defense in a King of the Hill map.
- The Huntsman serves a similar pick-off role, but can serve as a capable anti-sentry weapon, or a means of self-defense when gathering ammunition as the Huntsman can drain shots quickly and the projectile isn't fast enough to serve as a quick defensive option compared to a hitscan weapon.
- The MAC-10 suffers zero damage fall-off when firing at buildings, making it much more useful against buildings compared to your primary weapons. Headshot the Mechanic repairing them first, to make sure you can easily destroy it without interference.

- Once the stock is either taken out or retracted, the user cannot fire the weapon for a second.
Trivia
- The Counter-Service is the first and only weapon that can change styles mid-game. Letting the inspect animation fully play out has Marksman take out or retract the stock, changing the weapon's style.
- However, not letting the animation fully play out by firing after Marksman pulls out or retracts the stock will result in it going to the style it was previously in.
