Serving as a specialist from Italy, the Agent is the ninth class in the game. She is a support class who specializes in picking off high-value targets by cloaking behind the enemy line and disguising as anyone in the enemy team, waiting for the chance to perform a backstab.

In addition to picking off some important targets, Agent can disable and destroy the enemy Mechanic's buildings by using her Sapper, however the sapper can be removed by a Mechanic's wrench or an Arsonist's Hotwire.

Agent can disguise themselves as any player on the enemy team, allowing them to use an enemy Mechanic's dispenser and teleporters while also ignoring his sentries. While disguised, Agent can pretend to reload their disguise's current weapon. This does not function on weapons without a clip such as the Flamethrower or Minigun.

Only Agent (and Doctor) can see the names and health of enemy players, allowing her to relay useful intelligence to her team.

She is based on Team Fortress 2's Spy.

Tips

• When getting near the frontline, make sure to cloak. An enemy will easily see through your disguise if you appear to be moving away from the frontline, or their enemies spawn.
• Both cloaking and decloaking aren't completely silent. When possible, try not to decloak near the enemy, as they may be able to hear your decloak sound.
• When cloaking or decloaking, there is a small period where weapons are unusable. Make sure to cloak and decloak far enough away or when no one is watching.
• If possible, kill the Mechanic first before sapping his buildings.
  • A clever way of doing this is to go to the teleporter entrance and sap it. Stand on top of the teleporter while it is being sapped and wait for the Mechanic to remove the sapper at the teleporter exit. If the Mechanic is standing close enough to the teleporter after repairing it, they may be telefragged. Be wary of other enemy players that may be around at the exit, however.
  • Otherwise, sap as many buildings as possible then attempt to kill the Mechanic. The Mechanic will be forced to choose between killing Agent or saving his buildings.
  • Another way to easily kill a Mechanic and then sap his buildings is by using the Your Eternal Reward and the Stray Reflex. You will not die from a possible sentry on a backstab, and the Stray Reflex will deal higher sapper damage. But be keep watch of other Mechanics going to try block your sappings.
• Agent's Revolvers are useful to pick off enemies from a distance or as a self-defense weapon.
• It is often better to switch to the Revolver instead of going for a trickstab; especially if the enemy is at low health.
• The Cloak Revolver is best for maps with scarce ammo boxes or to escape, since the Cloak Revolver extends cloak time and adds Cloak on hit.
• The Cloak and Dagger allows Agents to wait for a perfect time to strike, because it allows the user to remain invisible as long as they don't move.
• The Dead Ringer's feign death may trick enemies upon death, but everybody will know a feign death has occurred through its loud decloaking sound.
  • Feign Death will activate upon taking any form of damage, including fall damage.
  • Upon triggering the Feign Death, a corpse of your active disguise is dropped.
    • You can assist your team by disguising as a teammate, since it may trick the enemy into believing an important target was killed.
• Use the mindset of that class you're currently disguised as.
  • It is recommended that you play the other eight classes at least once. This way, you can get a better understanding how they move, act, and think. Once you learn their ways, your disguises will look much more convincing to your opponents.
  • Disguising as a Flanker is often situational; while a Flanker with the Baby Face's Blaster has the same speed as a disguised Flanker, any other Flanker with another primary weapon is faster than a disguised Flanker. Take flank routes or stay behind enemy lines. You may also try to move sideways to hide your slower movement speed, alongside jumping before crouching twice to make it seem that you are double jumping.
  • Disguising as a Trooper is not optimal, as disguising as a Trooper decreases your movement speed. Disguising as a trooper with with the Rocket Jumper, Mantreads, or Gunboats is also dangerous, since Troopers with these weapons often blast jump. Similar to the Brute, this disguise can be wild-card.
  • Disguising as an Arsonist is possibly dangerous, as Arsonists may see you disguised as themselves, which immediately gives away the disguise. Arsonists are also generally shooting out flames from their flamethrower. This disguise can be useful if the enemy Arsonist doesn't see you.
  • Disguising as an Annihilator is not optimal, as his movement speed is similar to that of Trooper. Disguising as an Annihilator equipped with a shield can arouse suspicion since you cannot mimic charges.
  • Disguising as a Brute depends on the awareness of the enemy team. Agent's movement speed is heavily decreased, and a paranoid team will often check for Disguised Agents. Never disguise as a Brute on the frontlines; an Agent cannot mimic a Brute revving up a minigun. Disguising as a Brute is often a wildcard. Since many players like to assume that Agents always disguise as a faster class and do not generally disguise as slower class, you can actually go against this by disguising as the Brute .
  • Disguising as a Mechanic is a conspicuous choice to disguise as. A Mechanic, unless equipped with the Gunslinger, will often tend to his nest. It is however, possible to mimic a Mechanic running to set up a nest by simply moving forward if the teleporter is down. You can also pretend to be a Mechanic retreating from the frontlines or looking for an ammo box or a place for a nest.
    • If they have the Widowmaker equipped, fake reloading can give your position away as it cannot reload.
  • Disguising as a Doctor is not recommended; Doctors are expected to heal nearby players with their Medigun. However, this might make low health enemies to turn their back on you, thinking you would heal them, you will need to act fast while doing this or else you will be caught red-handed.
  • A Marksman is one of the easiest disguises to mimic, as they tend to remain in a single location, allowing you to wait before attempting to backstab. This disguise also allows you to look for potential targets.
    • With the Spy Camera, you can mimic Marksman's scoping animation, which can help with tricking enemies into believing your disguise.
  • Disguising as another Agent allows you to keep your movement speed, however it can instantly give you away as Agents are expected to be disguised most of the time. Disguising as an Agent might work if you are near the enemy's spawn, as they will believe you are about to choose a disguise. You can also pretend to be a friendly Agent trying to stab someone on your team
• Be wary of the "quirks" and play-styles of your enemies. for example; if an Annihilator jumps constantly, jumping as him will be more likely to convince them that you are real.
• The Arsonist's Flamethrower reveals Agent's position through afterburn, avoid them as much as possible. However, the Icicle can be used to partially mitigate this if the Arsonist in question hasn't realized that they've set someone on fire or is distracted by your teammates coming into the equation.
• Change disguises a few seconds after every kill if possible; the backstabbed teammate will be able to tell what class Agent is disguised as while they look at you from the death camera.
• Backpedaling into the enemy team while facing your own team is an effective way to blend in. Be careful not to bump into anyone else while going backwards to avoid being caught.
• While cloaked or disguised, you take 20% less damage.
  • When both cloaked and disguised, these bonuses stack to a total of 36% damage resistance.
  • This does not apply to disguises when using the Block-17, as it has a 20% damage vulnerability while disguised. The vulnerability combined with the damage resistance from the cloak still comes out to about 5% damage resistance, though.
  • You cannot rocket surf from the enemy's rockets while cloaked.
• During different points in the game, use the Cloak and Dagger to safely call out enemy positions while invisible and behind enemy frontlines to help your team succeed in defending and attacking objectives.
  • Using team chat, make sure to call out enemy positions. E.g. "Brute and Doctor with stock uber"

• Throughout all of Agent's iterations, some of her accessories are made by Roblox:
  • 2022 version: Bluetooth Headset.

• Agent was initially going to have a disguise mask in Rehaul, but it was scrapped since it did not function as intended.
  • Agent used the RED Brute's face in Rehaul.
• Agent used to be male and shared lines with the Mechanic during Rehaul.
  • When Agent initially got a voice change, she used the voicelines from Half Life 2's female NPCs. On September 2019, she used voicelines from the Female Spy Team Fortress 2 mod. The voicelines were changed again to the current voice actor AerelisVA in October 2020.
    • The current voice actor also voiced the Rabblerouser Animatronic and Murderous Child announcer from Arsenal.
• MidnightKrystal (A main developer) has confirmed that Agent is not Flanker's mother.^[1]
• Agent used to have a different sound for cloaking and uncloaking in 2017.
• Agent was originally going to be given a bowtie in her 2018 re-design however it was scrapped.
• The disguising symbol shows Agent using a Webley, the exact same model from Arsenal.
• Agent had her health increased to 135 in the Holiday 2021 update, which was later reverted back to 125 in the Various Visuals update.
  • Agent also had 135 health in Pre-Rehaul before being changed back to 125.
• When Agent is viewed through any transparent material, the image for her face will not render in.
  • A similar glitch can be achieved through similar conditions with Marksman.
  • This is caused by a Roblox issue.
• Agent's pain voicelines from October 25, 2020 to July 14, 2023 are still being used in Arsenal.
• Agent is a magician and can cast spells.^[2]
• Agent is present in Arsenal's Operation: Infiltration and Operation: Exfiltration quests, where she guides the player through the facility.

Bugs

• If the player disguises as another player while the Community Server option to enable Roblox Avatars is on, certain roblox avatar cosmetics will persist even when cloaked.
  • The players currently held weapon will also be visible to everyone.
• If the player uses their Sapper on a building and then the owner of the building leaves the game, the sapper GUI will be stuck on the Agent's screen until they change classes.
• While disguised, the Agent's low health symbol will appear over their head while invisible.
• If Agent's ragdoll is in-between water and air, Agent's hair appears invisible on the side that is underwater.
• If the player disguises as another player wearing any sort of cosmetic item that has a particle effect, then the particle effects of the cosmetic will show up even while invisible.
  • This does not include Unusuals, since Unusual effects do not show up at all while disguised, including that of your disguise target.
• Many Unusual effects will not disappear while the Agent is cloaked.
• The Agent's world model remains visible at 0.01 opacity while cloaked, meaning she is barely visible.
• When disguising, the weapon that you automatically switch to after putting away the Disguise Kit remains visible. Switching weapons will fix this.
