Raised introverted in the United Kingdom, the Doctor is the eighth class in-game, being a support class who specializes in healing wounded allies in the battlefield.
The Doctor is a support generalist class, being viable in any situation. His main job is to focus on his Medigun for healing wounded teammates, making sure they stay alive. When healing his teammates when they are full HP, they will begin to be Overhealed, giving teammates up to 150% of their normal health.
Healing with a Medi-gun will fill the SuperCharge meter, which can be charged faster if the teammate is injured or not fully over-healed. When the Super-Charge meter is full, deploying the charge offers temporary effect for the Doctor and his patient, the effect changing when using the Super-Charge on different Medi-guns. While under the effect of the Super-Charge, the Doctor can briefly heal someone to give them Super-Charge's effect for ~1 second then quickly switch back to their original healing target. However, he and his patient can still be knocked back and slowed through movement-slowing and impairing effects, such as the Sandman and airblasting, unless using the Rejuvenator.
The Doctor has the unique attribute of natural Health Regeneration, which ramps up the longer you have gone without taking damage, maxing out at 6 HP/s.
He is based on Team Fortress 2's Medic.

Tips
- SuperCharge is Doctor's most powerful tool, particularly with the stock Medigun, the Kritzkrieg, or the Rejuvenator.
- Prioritize patients, make sure that the players that are going to be doing the most with extra health are the ones getting the most extra health.
- Often, this means the players that are being attacked.
- The best SuperCharge candidates are the players able to attack for the entire duration of the SuperCharge. This means that a class like Brute, who is incapable of effectively pursuing enemies, is unlikely to succeed unless the Doctor knows that enemies will continue to be available throughout the charge.
- Conversely, a class like Flanker, who has a lower damage output than other classes, may be a better candidate for the fact he can pursue enemies for the entire duration of the SuperCharge.
- Usually, the best choice is somewhere between these two extremes.
- Doctors should consider a player's skill when deciding to heal and SuperCharge. A player who has not gotten any kills in 3 minutes is likely a less effective healing/SuperCharge target than a player who has gotten 10 kills in the same amount of time.
- This may include healing only a single player, but in most cases will mean prioritizing the highest quartile.
- In essence, the objective is to heal the most effective players. If there are many, the Doctor should heal many. If there are few, the Doctor should still heal many, but prioritize the few.
- Healing a player who is above 142.5% health (with overheal maxing out at 150% health) will grant half as much SuperCharge percentage as healing a player with less health than that would.
- This means that Doctor should try to heal another player if their current patient has reached that threshold and is not being attacked or is fighting.
- The Syringe Crossbow can increase a Doctor's healing output by a large margin by simply switching between it and his Medigun.
- Although Doctor can output a moderate amount of damage, he should only engage in combat in self-defense; other classes can deal more damage than he can.
- Doctor should try to position himself around as many teammates as possible to minimize the chances of being flanked or directly attacked.
- While Doctor is never truly safe, three or four teammates is usually enough to not die to singular random enemies.
- Healing or overhealing an Agent can give away their disguise, as overheal particles still appear while disguised.
- Conversely, if an overhealed player is approaching a Doctor who has not recently healed said player, there is a chance that the player is an Agent.
- Healing is Doctor's priority, not combat. If a Doctor wishes to play offensively, then a different class is likely a better fit.
- When healing, Doctors should make sure to stay a little bit behind the frontline. Doing so reduces the risk of splash damage, which is extremely common and often easily avoidable.
- The range at which a Medigun's medibeam automatically disconnects is quite large; Doctors should utilize this to avoid taking as much damage as possible.
- Being aware is extremely important, as healing a teammate with a medigun does not require much attention, allowing the Doctor to turn his focus to cues of upcoming danger and in turn, avoid them.
